Step 1 Register your criteria with Haywoods

The first step is to register with us. You can do this either by calling in to our office in Wrexham which is located opposite the bus station, or by calling us on 01978 366 355 or you can do it right now by registering online.

Step 2  Start looking at some property details

These days most people go online in their quest to find the perfect property. However we pride ourselves on our local knowledge and that’s reflected in our ability to send you property particulars by post, email and your mobile phone.

Tip: It’s a good idea to get your mortgage agreed in principle as early as possible.


Step 3 Arrange some viewings

Over 50% of our viewings are during evenings and weekends. That’s why we have our phone lines open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm Saturday and 11am to 4pm Sunday. Or pop in to our offices, they’re open 7 days a week.

Tip: Don’t be afraid of asking for a second viewing to make absolutly sure!


Step 4 Making an offer

Making an offer couldn’t be more simple. You can call us, visit our offices and now you can make us an offer online. As soon as we receive it we'll put your offer forward to the seller, both verbally and in writing.

Note: There are no legal obligations on either side until contracts are signed.


Step 5 Legal, searches & surveys

Once your offer is accepted, you will need to instruct your solicitor to proceed immediately and it is a good idea to discuss completion dates. If you need a specialist conveyancing solictor we can recommend several.

When this has been done, you need to instruct your mortgage broker to proceed with your mortgage application and make arrangements for a survey to be done.


Step 6 Exchange & complete contracts and pick up your keys

When contracts are signed and the monies are sent to the sellers account you will become the legal owner of your new home. Usually you can arrange to pick your keys up from us on same completion day.

Tip: Friday completions are popular as the weekend gives you time to move in.
